Have you opened the Music app only to find that some songs aren't available as expected, or your entire song library is suddenly empty? Couldn't find this page where your calls are recorded? Or maybe some of the new sounds you added on another device aren't showing up on your iPhone? In any case, you can usually fix this type of problem by forcing your music library to sync.

Some Apple Music users in particular may encounter such problems, and here's the reason: Apple Music gives you access to a feature called iCloud Music Library, which allows you to store your entire music collection in the cloud instead of using up valuable storage space on your device.

This library is automatically synced with all your Apple devices signed in to the same iCloud account and is easily accessible no matter which device you're using. The only downside to this feature is that you may experience syncing issues, especially if your internet connection is not smooth or intermittent. In such cases, you will need to manually sync your library again. Here we look at how to force sync your music library on iPhone and iPad.

Sync Apple Music Library from iPhone and iPad
Keep in mind that you'll only find the option to sync your music library if you have an Apple Music subscription or pay for iTunes Match. The following steps apply as long as you are running a fairly recent version of iOS and iPadOS. 1) First, open the "Settings" app from the home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
2) In the settings menu, scroll down and find the Music app, which is located with the other stock apps. Tap it to continue.
3) Here you will find a switch to sync your music library. The feature should already be enabled, but turn off the switch, wait a few seconds, and then turn the switch back on.

That's pretty much all you need to do. Your Music app will now begin syncing content stored in your iCloud Music Library. At this point, all you have to do is wait for the sync process to complete. Depending on the size of your music collection and the speed of your internet connection, this may take some time, so be patient.

Basically, turning off the feature for a while and then turning it back on will force the data to sync again, hopefully restoring the missing content that isn't showing up on the iPhone and iPad. Force your music library to sync via iTunes or the Music app

Do you also listen to music on Mac or PC? If so, you can start a manual sync the same way in iTunes (or the Music app on a Mac) from the Preferences panel.
Go to Playback in Settings (or General on a Mac) and you'll find an option at the top to enable or disable iCloud Music Library.
